Trip itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Ha Noi

  • Arriving at Noi Bai airport in Hanoi, your driver will meet you and take you to your hotel.
  • Free time in the evening and overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2: Ha Noi City Tour – Sapa (B/L/D)

  • After breakfast at your hotel, your English speaking guide will meet you to start your Hanoi city tour.
  • You will visit Ba Dinh Square, Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum where Ho Chi Minh lies in state and you will see the simple cottage in which Ho lived and worked.
  • Then it’s on to visit the One Pillar Pagoda and hear the legend of its construction which was born from the love of an emperor in the 11th Century. After a short drive you will visit the serene Tran Quoc Pagoda, the oldest in Hanoi, located on the banks of Hanoi’s West Lake. You’ll also call into the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university.
  • Lunch at a local restaurant
  • After lunch your driver and guide will take you to visit the Ethnology Museum for an overview of Vietnam’s 54 distinct ethnic groups. En-route to one of the cities fascinating museums, you pass by Hoan Kiem Lake which is also known as the Lake of the Restored Sword. Next you take to the streets for a walking tour of the 36 streets of the Ancient Quarter and visit Dong Xuan Market, one of the biggest markets in Hanoi.
  • Dinner at a local restaurant.
  • 20:00 your driver will pick you up from the hotel and transfer you to Hanoi railway station where you board an evening train to Lao Cai.
  • Overnight stay on train in soft sleeper cabin..

Day 3: Lao Cai – Sapa – Cat Cat village (B/L)

  • Arrive 06:00 at Lao Cai Railway Station where a bus will be waiting to drive you to Sapa along the exciting curvy road, surrounded by steep mountains and rice fields. Eat breakfast in Sapa before you visit Cat Cat village, home of the H’Mong people and Cat Cat waterfall.
  • Check into your hotel and lunch.
  • After lunch you have free time to relax or visit the daily markets in Sapa town.
  • Overnight stay in Sapa.

Day 4: Lao Chai – Ta Van village – Ha Noi (B/L/D)

  • Your day will start after breakfast with a walking tour on a small path down the valley to the Muong Hoa River and from there to the Black H’mong village of Lao Chai. Then, you will continue another 1.2 Km onto Ta Van village to visit the Zay people and have lunch.
  • Return to Sapa to refresh at your hotel before driving to Lai Cai where you will have dinner before boarding the train back to Hanoi.
  • Overnight stay on board the train in a soft sleeper cabin.

Day 5: Ha Noi – Halong Bay (B/ L/D)

  • We starting from your hotel and drive from Hanoi to one of the most magnificent scenic to  Halong Bay. Covering 577 square miles, this vast bay is filled with more than 3,000 limestone “peaks” or karsts that jut from the deep blue water as far as the eye can see.
  • We’ll spend a day and a half, including an overnight with dinner and breakfast onboard, exploring this overwhelming seascape from the decks of a traditional Vietnamese boat. Comfortable and intimate, your boat features hand-crafted wooden interiors including a dining room and pleasant air-conditioned cabins with private baths.
  • Since we’re overnight on the water, we’ll be able to explore Ha Long Bay’s most beautiful spots with time to swim and even visit some of the largest rock formations and caves. This promises to be one of your most memorable travel experiences in Asia.
  • Stay overnight on Boat.

Day 6: Halong Bay – Ha Noi (B/L)

  • After breakfast, explore Sung Sot cave, swim and relax. Cruises back to the jetty while brunch is served while you are cruising through the bay, along the way seeing more of the fascinating formations. Cruise check-out.
  • Rejoin car drive back to Hanoi for overnight. Arrive in Hanoi at 5:00pm
  • Free time in the evening and overnight stay in Ha Noi.

Day 7: Ha Noi – Hue (B/L/D)

  • Transfer to the Hanoi International Airport to board morning flight to Hue. After being met at the airport you will be taken to the hotel so you can check-in and have a rest.
  • Hue is a quiet city, widely known for the magnificent architecture of its citadels, palaces, royal tombs, pagodas and temples built under the Nguyen Dynasty.
  • After lunch your guide will meet you at the hotel and you will visit the Imperial Citadel and take a boat cruise on the Perfume River to visit Thien Mu pagoda and Ming Mang Emperor’s mausoleum. Returning to Hue at approximately 1730h .Take the rest before have dinner .
  • Overnight stay in Hue.

Day 8 :Hue – Marble Mountain  – Hoi An (B/L)

  • The guide will meet you at the hotel at 07:00 and travel with you in an air conditioned private vehicle from Hue to Da Nang driving over Hai Van pass. The scenery from the top of Hai Van pass is spectacular and offers some great photo opportunities out over the bay and down to the fishing village of Lang Co.
  • By the way to Hoi an we stop visiting Cham Museum and Marble Mountain.
  • Marble Mountain actually consists of a group of 5 separate mountains known as the Element Mountains named Metal, Wood, Water, Fire and Earth.
  • Thuy Son or Water Mountain is the largest and most beautiful of the mountains and several large Buddhist temples have been built into the caves and grottoes. Recently two new elevators have been constructed that make it only a short trip to the most popular area on the mountain.
  • We will arrive in Hoi An approximately 5 hours later and Check into the hotel. Free day after noon .Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 9: Hoi An Walking tour – My Son ( B/ L)

  • You will start from your hotel at 0730h for a walking tour through the old quarter of Hoi An
  • Many of the original buildings are a mixture of Chinese and Japanese styles and make up the heritage listed part of town. Then it’s onto the Japanese bridge which was built in 1593 to link the Japanese and Chinese sectors and is the only known covered bridge with a Buddhist pagoda included into the structure.
  • The silk factory will be the next stop where you will be shown the process of making silk cloth from the silk worm to the loom. You will also see how the beautiful and extremely labour intensive hand stitched silk pictures are created.
  • To ensure there is time to have that special outfit you have always wanted made and correctly fitted, your guide will take you to several tailor shops where you will be amazed at the choices and cheap prices.
  • After lunch you will travel approximately 50kms by road to My Son holy land in a private air conditioned vehicle.
  • My Son was the major religious site in Vietnam for the people of the ancient Champa Kingdom which flourished between the 4th and 13th centuries. Once at My Son, you will have the opportunity to walk through the numerous ruins scattered around the site.
  • On your return to Hoi An you will enjoy a one hour massage and have free time in the evening to relax or walk through old town at night.

Day 10: Departure (B)

  • Enjoy your free time for souvenir shopping until it is time to transfer to Da Nang to board your onward flight.
